Job Description

We are a multi-divisional Company that is currently seeking a dynamic, energetic person who appreciates having extensive involvement and enjoys overseeing the day to day accounting operations in the four divisions of the Company.
 
The candidate must have strong analytical skills with above average critical thinking experience. The candidate will be working in a team environment and must understand the importance of meeting deadlines and multitasking.
 
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Responsible for AP, AR and company bi-weekly payroll
  • EHT, WSIB and payroll deduction as required
  • Process account payable and account receivable as needed
  • Upkeep and updating accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Analyse financial discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Windows, MS Excel and Simply
  • Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations including daily and monthly entries, bank reconciliations, government remittances and filings for HST
  • Preparing cash flow projections
  • Analysing/assigning terms to new accounts
  • Accruals and inventory costing analysis
  • Other duties as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong accounting knowledge (5+ years’ experience required)
  • Ability to compete full accounting cycle
  • Ability to work independently as well with others
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and adapt quickly
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Accurate with keen attention to detail
  • Dependable, organized and reliable
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Business Degree - Accounting Level II or III
